Till. to Ps. 4:5 (ref. to ודמו ib.) (read:) ובלבד שתִּדֹּוםוכ׳ provided that thou leavest off from the sin ; Yalk. ib. 627. Hif. הִדְמִים to silence, bring to a stand-still. Ex. R. s. 29 end ה׳ כל העולם He made the world stand still. Gen. R. s. 97 שהוא מַדְמִיםוכ׳ who will bring to a stand-still sun and moon.
